BREAKING NEWS: 5 Egyptian soldiers shot dead, dozens injured in Deadly clashes


In recent deadly clashes, at least 5 Egyptian soldiers killed and dozens injured near Suez Canal city of Ismailia.


Security officials have said that ousted Islamist President Mohamed Morsi backers attacked in series on Monday and five soldiers killed and dozens injured.


According to the eyewitnesses deadly clashes started on Monday morning among the Morsi's Muslim Brotherhood backers and opponents.


The security sources said the gunmen opened fire on the soldiers while they were sitting in a car at a checkpoint near Ismailia on the Canal.


Earlier on Monday, a car bomb explosion killed at least 2 and about 50 injured in South Sinai.
