Wednesday night season 3 of “The X Factor” premiered, and viewers got some great talent right off the bat. Rion Paige closed out the show, and most would say she also stole it. This 13-year-old blew everybody away and most are guessing she will definitely be sticking around for a bit this season.
During Rion Paige's intro package on "The X Factor," viewers learned that she was born with arthrogryposis and she is also blind in her right eye. The arthrogryposis means that her hands are curved differently than most people's and she has limited use of them. This strong young lady, however, hasn't let her physical challenges hold her back. She says that music helps her deal with her challenges and frustrations, and she hopes the judges won't show her pity just because of her special challenges. They didn't, nor did they need to consider it.
Paige sang's “Blown Away,” a choice that would oftentimes make judges worry and cringe. Not this time. Rion Paige killed it, and may have been more blown away than anyone. He mentioned the day he met Carrie Underwood and how he knew right then she would be a star. Cowell then said that he believes the same thing about Rion. He even said, “I'm gonna remember this audition for a long, long time.”
Many “The X Factor” viewers will surely remember this audition for a long time as well. Rion Paige doesn't need anybody's sympathy to get ahead in this competition. The young lady has pipes and she is a stunning talent. Paige easily moves on to the next stage of the competition, and viewers can't wait to hear more from her.
