POLL RESULTS ARE IN; SEE BELOW
Much has been made of Sen. John McCain's body language on stage during all three presidential debates, but as this framegrab taken immediately after the final debate Oct. 15 in Hempstead, N.Y., shows, McCain finally outdid himself. And he may have outdone Michael Dukakis, who made the major error of tooling around in a tank during the 1988 campaign after an otherwise well-received speech on defense policy. Ooops.
Punditty offers up both photos here for comparision. Will the McCain McLizard Moment come to be seen as emblematic of his presidential campaign, much as the Dukakis-in-a-tank moment is associated with the failed candidacy of the 1988 Democratic nominee?
You decide. Click on the image at left you want to see in the larger window, compare and vote between now and Oct. 30 in the Punditty Project "McCain's body language = Dukakis in a tank?" poll, in conjuction with Mister Poll, at:

POLL RESULTS: 65 people total responded to four statements. Percentages exceed 100 because respondents could choose to check an option for both statements or just one of the two.
FIRST POLL STATEMENT:
47 people, or 72 percent, agreed that "McCain as McLizard is the final nail in his campaign's coffin."
5 people, or 7 percent, agreed that "McCain was just blowing off some steam, let it go."
SECOND POLL STATEMENT
38 people, or 58 percent, agreed that "McCain has out-Dukakisized the great tank commander himself."
6 people, or 9 percent, agreed that "No one, but no one, will ever top the Dukakis-in-a-tank moment."
You may be given the option to answer an unrelated poll question while at this site. This question, if in fact you are prompted to respond, has nothing to do with The Punditty Project.

That shot of McCain's face is a great one. It could definitely be the campaign killer.
