28 Million Hate DVD Distributed in Key Swing States! (Video)

A DVD that plays on American's fear that Obama is a "closet" Muslim has been distributed with 70 newsapers to millions in the key swing states of Ohio, Florida, and Colorado. Entitled "Obsession: Radical Islam's War Against the West", the one hour long movie mixes facts with prevarications and distortions to prepare a heady brew of instigatory religion-baiting.

"I was shocked at the content and horrified that this had been in my Sunday paper," said Priscilla Linsley, 74-year-old Democrat, "I have Muslim friends and respect Islam as a religion and felt that this was really hateful," said Linsley.

Several observors believe that the Video is an attempt to distract voters in swing states from thoughts of the economy and financial meltdown by raising the bogeyman of terror. Larry SabatoLarry Sabato, Director of University of Virginia's Center for Politics, said it's naïve to think such a video won't influence undecided voters.

"It's pretty obvious that the group sponsoring it wants people to think more about terrorism, about national security, about Middle East politics and maybe less about the economy,"

Made by Israeli filmmaker Raphael Shore the film contains violent content. It is funded by a non Profit group founded in 2006, the Clarion Fund. Clarion spokesman Gregory Ross said that "Our focus is to educate with our movies and raise awareness, not influence elections."

Not so, say the film's detractors:

"If this DVD was produced and mass distributed by the KKK or an anti-Semitic organization, would it be included? Or rejected, rightfully so?" protests Rima Barakat Sinclair, a Republican Muslim and member of human rights advocacy group CAIR (Council for American Islamic Relations). "It is riddled not only with misleading facts but outright fabrication."
