Poverty and lack of sports in Tribal areas of Pakistan.

The tribal young boys play traditional games. These are very poor youngsters belonging to one of the backward tribal Agencies of Mohmand Ageny.Like other agency this region too does not have any sports ground for the young people where they could spare some time in entertainment. The growing and widespread poverty and unemployment have disturbed the people of tribal areas. The parents in tribal areas don’t allow their kids to play games because one there is no sports complex in this region of FATA and second the parents force the youngsters to earn livelihood for the parents and the family for which they are supposed to go to far off areas for making a living.

The government and the political agent of Mohmand Agency are blind to see the lack of sports facilities to engage the under age boys and the teenagers in playful positive activities so that they could not be attracted to militancy,terrorism and narcotics like smoking hashish and snuff (Naswar) which is put in the mouth behind a lip. The sports department is alleged by the local tribal people for widespread corruption which can be proven from the fact that so far sports department has not carried out any big activity or project to engage the young generation in some positive and constructive activities.

When there is a serious lack of sports facilities in tribal areas of Pakistan and the people on the other hand are jobless on a large scale to earn money for their parents then as a result they would resort to negative and destructive hobbies to be engaged in, such as militancy and narcotics in the tribal areas. These people then can not be considered and expected to play any positive role. That is why the government of Pakistan and the World Community need to pay attention to redress this basic problem of FATA people in form of joblessness and unemployment. There is no shortage of opportunities in the tribal region of Pakistan but need proper and lenient attention to put it in the path of development.Iflation and joblessness have upset the tribal people to find an honourale living.As a result we see the growing militancy and rampant corruption in every department of the tribal areas.The lack of a political system in FATA has also created problems because the century old FCR system is no more efficient to abe applied for speedy justice in the tribal areas.Bsic reforms are needed in FCT old system for the conveniece of the tribl people.
