LANDIKOTAL : Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman suggested to give an opportunity to Taliban to present their stand related to the war against terrorism at the in-camera joint session of parliament. He said that the decision of former president Pervez Musharraf to join the war against terrorism had proved wrong. Addressing a news conference, he said the policies of the former president had been in the US interest and his war against terror was not in the interest of Pakistan and its masses. “If allowed, I shall present the other face of the picture of the so-called war on terror in the joint session of parliament,” he said adding, “That will be the genuine briefing.” “Despite international pressure, if the government takes concrete decisions with strong commitment, we can still move forward,” Fazl hoped. The JUI Amir said the problem of terrorism was not only a problem for Pakistan and Afghanistan but it was a pain for the entire world. He urged all the countries in the region to join hands against it. Regarding Jamia Hafsa, Fazl said matters between the Jamia Hafsa and the administration had been settled.
