Zoo Dog Lion

A Chinese zoo decided to try to pass a dog off as lion. For some reason they thought nobody would notice and actually nobody did for a while. According to Yahoo, the truth was exposed when the dog started barking instead of roaring like a lion should.

The dog was actually a Tibetan mastiff. They had the hair on the dog cut like a lion to make it look that way and try to pass it off. It has been found out since that this was not the only animal they did it with at all.

This zoo actually also had a common dog in the pen for a wolf and some other animals were not right. They had rodents in a snake cage, but it is unknown why they would choose to do that at all.

The Chinese zoo was even charging customers extra to see some of their exhibits up close including fake ones. They are trying to play it off and say that the lions are at another zoo being breed and that the dog was just a pet. They are now agreeing to change the sign, but that isn't really enough to make everyone happy. They are going to lose a lot of customers over this one.
