There is sad news Thursday for fans of “That '70s Show.” Actress Lisa Robin Kelly has died. The actress, who played Eric Forman's older sister, has had a troubled life the past few years and sadly it seems it has now led to her death. TMZ shared the details.
TMZ reports that Lisa Robin Kelly died in a rehab facility in California Wednesday night. Kelly's agent says, “She had been fighting demons for a while and finally lost her battle.” Kelly, 43, had been struggling with addiction issues for some time, and had also ended up in legal trouble more than once.
Lisa Robin Kelly's death came after she went into cardiac arrest at the rehab facility and was unable to be saved. Sources indicate she died in her sleep. Lisa had voluntarily checked into the rehab facility last week, and her boyfriend had taken her there. He blames her estranged husband for her fall off the wagon. It seems Lisa and her ex, Robert Gilliam, had recently had a “huge dispute” which seems to be one of many between the two.
Kelly had checked into rehab on Sunday, and sadly she had a .34 blood alcohol level when she arrived. She had been arrested multiple times over the past few years for incidents involving DUI, assault and spousal abuse. Her ex was convicted of domestic battery in July. The charges stemmed from an incident in May where he apparently beat Lisa as he tried to get residual money from her.
Lisa Robin Kelly's death is a very sad ending for a woman who had clearly led a very troubled life the past few years. Despite her addiction and legal troubles, many will always remember her for her fun role on “That '70s Show.”
