The body of Abigail Grace Bonner has been located and confirmed, but the comments made by officials indicate that they are stumped on the cause of death. It's been reported that there were no signs of a struggle in the wooded area where her body was found, but there were also no signs that she had been dumped there as a secondary crime scene. So this indicates that her case of death could have been caused by her own hands. Is it likely that this missing teen took her own life?
Officials do not want to comment or speculate on what happened until they have "scientific evidence," meaning an autopsy is underway to determine what happened to Abigail. Most likely they will await toxicology reports before releasing a definitive cause of death in her case -- but at that point it seems that it's all but accepted that drugs or some other self-inflicted violence occurred.
Hopefully more information comes out that answers these questions. In the meantime, the girl's family needs time to mourn in peace. They searched high and low for Abigail Bonner, and it's disappointing that she was found in this manner.
