Don't panic. Preseason is never been about who's the best in the 32 NFL teams. Since any NFL season starts with a preseason games, you might consider power rankings as well, since mostly, the teams performance mirrors on players impact when the season starts.

The NFL preseason Week 1 results yield some out-of-the-chart football experience although it's too early to evaluate each team at this point. One take-away on Week 1 is the Buffalo Bills 44-20 drubbing of playoff contender Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.

Rookie quarterback EJ Manuel and his teammates are pretty darn impressive especially receiver Marquise Goodwin who blazed the Lucas Oil Stadium field with 107-yard kickoff return. The Olympic long jumper kid also score another with 53-yard kickoff return. Manuel played in the entire first half with 16 of 21 passes for 107 yards. EJ could be the Bills' savior that can take them to the promised land. The Buffalo win move up their ranking to 22nd from the 30th last week.

The NFL Associated Press poll ranking released on August 6 ranked San Francisco 49ers on the top and Seattle Seahawks at fourth. However, ESPN ranked Seattle on top while San Francisco on second.

The 49ers ranked third below when they lost to Denver Broncos in the preseason opener and Seahawks ranked No.1 below when they won against San Diego Chargers. Seahawk's didn't score when Russell Wilson was in the game against San Diego Chargers, but back ups quarterback Tarvaris Jackson and Brady Quinn took care of business scoring touchdown each.

That means 49ers-Seahawks rivalry will be a much more intense this season not only in the NFC West supremacy but also in the entire league. Without to mention the rekindled rivalry of former college coaches between Jim Harbaugh (Stanford) and Pete Caroll (USC). When Caroll's Seahawks acquired Percy Harvin from the Vikings, Harbaugh's 49ers answered it with the acquisition of Super Bowl winner Anquan Boldin, and so on. But Harvin suffers an injury as well as priced WR Michael Crabtree for the 49ers.

Denver Broncos however is in the mix as one of the many contenders to win the Super Bowl this year. Peyton Manning didn't score against the San Francisco 49ers in the preseason opener but their mean defense make the job done. One defensive play by Shaun Phillips forced a fumble resulting a returned 9-yard touchdown.

Also in the preseason Week 1, we learned the New England Patriots are going to be very good with loaded new young talents despite the loss of Tom Brady's favorite wide recievers. Controversial quarterback Tim Tebow saw action in Patriots 31-22 win against the Philadelphia Eagles on Friday. Mark Sanchez pick on six and Geno Smith injury made us conclude that Jets has nowhere to go when the season starts. Rex Ryan team ranks No. 31st on the list below.

Based on ESPN rankings released last week, the 2013 NFL Power Rankings preseason week 1 below has an average of 2 to 3 rise for winning teams and 3 to 4 drop for losing teams.
