The decomposing body of Angiewas located by hunters at around 8:44 a.m., Sunday. She was found in a field south of Chaparral and West Trimmier -- a location that wasn't very far from where she vanished in the first place. The woman hadn't even been missing for a month when she was found -- and officials have confirmed that she was murdered.
Angie died by a gunshot wound -- but officials have not clarified details surrounding the death such as how long she had been dead, or whether or not she was shot repeatedly or only once. She may have sustained a shot to the head -- but this has not been confirmed by officials yet.
There is no photo available of this missing woman, and her case never really made it to media reports as far as I could find. There are also no reports of a suspect in her murder. It's hopeful that more information makes it to the media about this slain woman so at least some kind of idea can be made about what happened. In the meantime, it's important to consider a variety of questions in this case.
Was this slain woman involved in a shady lifestyle at all? Was she involved with "the wrong kind of people?" What about drug use or any other behaviors that would put her at risk? There is also the statistical likelihood that the person who murdered here was someone she knew -- be it a significant other or someone else she was acquainted with. Hopefully investigators are doing a thorough job at eliminating and narrowing down suspects in this sad case.
