Fact check: McCain campaign's William Ayers ad

Washington : DC : USA | about 1 year ago
Views: 97

FactCheck.org took a look at John McCain campaign's new ad attacking Barack Obama and his association with 1960s radical Wiliam Ayers. It found the ad had false and misleading attacks.

FactCheck.org also looked at a Planned Parenthood ad airing in St. Louis; Madison, Wisc.; and Washington, D.C., that expressly implicates Sarah Palin in charging women for their own rape kits -- and it attempts to link McCain to the practice as well. FactCheck says it has never been proved that Palin was complicit in or even aware of this policy. And it says the ad is way off base in saying that McCain "voted to let governments charge rape victims."
