Iran to Build Permanent Naval Base in Syria

The newspaper "Sunday Times" of London: said The submarine "Dolphin" belonging to Israel Navy , carried out the attack, which targeted a repository for rockets "pre - sea" model "Aahnot," Russian-made, before a week and a half in the Syrian port of Latakia.

The "Maariv newspaper " quoted from the "Sunday Times" that Israel coordinated strike with the United States, after the Americans expressed protesting against the Russians, on the transfer of dozens of advanced missiles, with a range of about 300 kilometers, can hit Israeli naval and U.S. sites, and new gas wells in the Mediterranean Sea in front of the Israeli coast.

The alleged Israeli naval strike was closely coordinated with the United States and targeted a contingent of 50 Russian-made Yakhont P-800 anti-ship missiles that had arrived earlier in the year for Syrian President Bashar Assad's regime, the Times cited Middle East intelligence sources as stating.

According to the report, the Israeli fleet of German-built submarines launched a cruise missile at the weapons cache after which Syrian rebels reportedly attested to hearing early-morning explosions at a Syrian port-side naval barracks.

This two strikes this week were the first since one in January, also apparently aimed at Hezbollah-bound weaponry.

The New York Times reported Sunday that the targets this weekend included a warehouse at Damascus International Airport, with stocks of the Fateh-110 missile—a solid-fuel missile that would give Hezbollah the capacity to strike Tel Aviv. That was followed by a second strike that hit the Center for Scientific Research in Jamraya, a military facility in a suburb of Damascus.

The Wall Street Journal reported that both attacks were launched from Lebanese airspace. President Obama signaled Sunday that the U.S. had no objections to the strikes.

“What I have said in the past and I continue to believe is that the Israelis justifiably have to guard against the transfer of advanced weaponry to terrorist organizations like Hezbollah,” the president told Telemundo. “We coordinate closely with the Israelis, recognizing they are very close to Syria, they are very close to Lebanon.”

The "Sunday Times" reportes with pictures from the air of the site, which targeted Syria, and shows where the site before and after the bombing, showing where the damage to the site. And the transfer of the website of the Israeli channel ten, spokesman for the army, "Yoav Mordechai," saying: "I do not deny nor confirm the creation of Israel to the process."
