TV9 News: Egyptian Military 'Removes' President Mohamed Morsi

The presidential office of Egypt has not yet appointed Mohamed ElBaradei as the interim prime minister despite an earlier announcement made by Egypt's state news agency MENA and others that the former UN nuclear agency chief and a Nobel Peace Prize laureate will get the post this Saturday night after the ousting of the countries first democratically elected President Mohamed Morsi this Wednesday by Egypt’s military.

This report has been confirmed from the acting's president Adly Mansour office where a spokesperson told reporters that the decision was still pending as consultations continue.

But a senior opposition official, said that ElBaradei was selected as the interim prime minister but before Adly Mansour could officially make the announcement the decision was reversed because the Salafi al-Nour party objected to the appointment and mediation was underway.

Meanwhile, Adly Mansour's acting government remained at work to destroy Morsi's legacy and replaced Morsi's intelligence chief and the presidential palace's chief of staff.
