Amanda Knox And Raffaele Sollecito Guilty Of Meredith Kercher Murder

Support for Amanda Knox likely attracted her co-suspect in the slaying of British student Meredith Kercher -- because he's still here in The States. In this recent interview Raffaele Sollecito admitted that he's been living here in the United States of America with relatives of his. So now it could be speculated that Sollecito and Knox are in one of the only places on the planet where they are accepted -- due to the pro-Knox PR campaign run through the media in this country. News of his new residence comes after recent reports that he has been barred from living in Switzerland.

Living in the U.S. affords Sollecito the opportunity to speak to the media (for money) as much as possible. He is reportedly broke and in need of money to help him in the upcoming retrial against he and Knox -- who, again, are both accused of murdering Meredith Kercher. It probably doesn't hurt that the Amanda and Raffaele groupie base is large here -- with many people who'd likely be willing to send their life savings in return for a personal thank you from the famous duo.

So does Raffaele Sollecito plan on staying here in the U.S. indefinitely? If he does, and he and Amanda Knox are re-convicted in the murder of Meredith Kercher, it's likely that they will both be extradited back to Italy where they will serve time for their alleged crimes. What interest would the U.S. Government have with keeping an Italian fugitive (which Sollecitio will presumably be), thus violating the extradition treaty between our two countries? Furthermore, why would the U.S. extradite Sollecito without extraditing Knox? If you think about it, Raffaele's presence in the U.S. may harm Knox's chances of fighting an extradition if they are convicted of murder in Italy.

While Sollecito is living here in The States, it could be asked if he and Amanda Knox have truly reunited. He speaks very openly about his feelings for her in recent interviews, and it almost seems as though he is having a hard time keeping some feelings to himself. This could be indicative of either his own desires, or perhaps a desire to share the alleged news that he and his former flame have rekindled their past romance. This has been speculated throughout many tabloids, but who knows what's true or not in Amanda's and Raffaele's universe?

It doesn't seem that anyone is outraged yet by Raffaele's presence, what what if these two are found guilty of murder by the Italian High Court? Will they still be treated as nicely by the citizens of this country?
