Jackie Chan

Jackie Chan is not dead, despite the Internet death hoax that had been circulating. Jackie Chan proved he was alive by posting a photograph of himself with a newspaper. According to a June 25 report by the Huffington Post, this was not the first time Jackie Chan had been a victim of an Internet death hoax.

Another Jackie Chan death hoax took place in August of 2011. The Facebook page “Jackie Chan R.I.P. 08/17/2011” went viral. It stated that Jackie Chan died of a heart attack.

Jackie Chan is the latest celebrity to fall prey to an Internet death hoax. Bindi Irwin, daughter of Steve Irwin, was also declared dead online. Bindi Irwin took her Internet death hoax in stride, asking people to “hug your best friend.”

Just like Bindi Irwin, Jackie Chan is very much alive. It was only another Internet death hoax.
