Monica Lewinsky 20/20 Interview [Part 1 of 6]

A collection of clothing, including lingerie and other belongings once owned by Monica Lewinsky are up for auction, according to auctioneer Nate D. Sanders.

The items were given to Lewinsky to a former lover, Andy Bleiler, and his spouse, according to Sanders.

Among items in the 32-piece collection, Sanders said, are "her personally owned black negligee, a Bill Clinton typed letter signed on White House stationery, addressed to Mr. Bleiler per Lewinsky's request, and a handful of official White House issued items."

An affair between Clinton and Lewinsky resulted in his impeachment by the U.S. House of Representatives on Dec. 19, 1998.

He was acquitted in his U.S. Senate trial on Feb. 12, 1999.

Clinton had been charged with obstruction of justice and perjury.

Among the other items up for auction are:

  • "Three sealed and slightly crushed boxes of presidential M&Ms, measuring 2'' x 3.75'' x 0.75'';"
  • "Programs titled 'Holidays at the White House 1995.', measuring 7'' x 10.75'';" and
  • "Eleven greeting cards sent and signed 'Monica,' 'Monka.' or curiously 'Monstreeka' by Lewinsky to the Bleilers."

The auction is scheduled to close on June 27 at 5 p.m. PT.
