2013 Wimbledon Scores Live: Women singles schedules, results First Round

The 2013 Wimbledon Championship tennis tournament starts first round on Monday. The women's schedule live coverage of scores kicks off at the outdoor grass courts of All England Tennis Club at London. Weather forecast on on the first few days at Wimbledon is little bit rainy with minimal disruptions of games expected.

Defending champion Serena Williams will try to win back to back Grand Slam after winning the French Open few weeks ago in defeating Maria Sharapova.

But few days before the Wimbledon even start, both Williams and Sharapova traded volleys already through their interviews. The Russian added some spice to the tournament with a verbal jab in response to comments by Williams in a recent magazine story.

Sharapova, seeded third, will play at the Centre Court on Monday scheduled at second game for the first-round match against 37th-ranked Kristina Mladenovic of France. Victoria Azarenka, seeded second, opens the Court 1 schedule against 106th-ranked Maria Joao Koehler of Portugal, who is making her Wimbledon debut.

Other notable matchups on Court 18, of young Americans as 17th-seeded Sloane Stephens against 25th-ranked Jamie Hampton. Stephens beat Serena in Australian Open semis early this year while Hampton beat former Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova in the French Open's fourth round few weeks ago.

Caroline Wozniacki of Denmark will play Estrella Cabeza Candela of Spain at No.3 Court. Su-Wei Hsieh of Taiwan will play Tatjana Maria of Germany at Court 5. Both Christina McHale and Alexa Glatch of United States will collide at Court 10.
