Missouri woman Lauren Crawford has been located safe after she was missing for close to 30 hours. The woman was allegedly kidnapped on Saturday morning while walking her dog, but after a lengthy search and high-priority alert was issued she was located at a Caldwell County hospital.

There is only one suspect in this case: The woman's estranged boyfriend Brian J. Adkison. It's believed that he abducted her while she was walking her dog -- and that was made apparent several hours before she was located as her dog was found in his possession. On a frightening note, Brian J. Adkison was recently charged with forcible rape. So it's becoming evident that the man could be a danger to the public.

Police are still seeking Adkison while Lauren Crawford is in custody and being cared for. He's believed to be wearing a white "Fox Racing" shirt with plaid shorts, but could have changed his clothing to avoid detection. He's known to frequent the Sunset Beach area.

This was not a stranger kidnapping, but an alleged act of violence perpetrated by a scorned former lover. As it turns out this is the most statistically common outcome when it comes to missing women and crimes against women. Hopefully the suspect is located and put where he belongs so he isn't a danger to anyone else.
