The 2013 French Open semifinal results of men and women single matches are all set after the grueling men's matchup of world's best Rafael Nadal against No.1 seed Novak Djokovic at the Roland Garros outdoor clay court in Paris France.

But before that, in Thursday's French Open women semifinal result, Serena Williams dominated hapless Sara Errani 6-0, 6-1 in just 46 minutes to reach her second French Open final. Serena last won her only Roland Garros crown in 2002 and will be playing in her 20th career Grand Slam championship.

In another women's semifinal matchup, Maria Sharapova survived a grueling rain delayed game with a 6-1, 2-6, 6-4 victory over Victoria reach the final for the second straight year. It was a rematch of the French Open Final last year where Sharapova won the title.

Sharapova will defend her title in French Open Final showdown on Saturday against her toughest opponent Serena Williams. The 31-year-old Serena is favorite as she holds a 13-2 career lead over Sharapova. She last won against Williams nine years ago.

In Friday's French Open men's semifinal results, defending champion Rafael Nadal survived in grueling marathon tennis battle in 6-4, 3-6, 6-1, 6-7, 9-7 victory over Novak Djokovic on Friday.

World No. 1 played against third-seeded former top-ranked Nadal in 4 hours and 37 minutes. The deciding fifth set takes 1-hour and 22 minutes alone.

The two have met 34 times with Nadal winning 19 times to Djokovic's 15, and while the King of Clay, Nadal now holds a 13-3 lead on clay court against the Serbian. However, Djokovic beat the Spaniard in their recent meeting at Monte Carlo Masters final in April.

On Friday's other semifinal late evening schedule, French favorite Jo-Wilfried Tsonga will face fourth-seed Spaniard David Ferrer. Tsonga surprised everyone in pulling an upset victory against Swiss maestro Roger Federer in three straight sets in the quarterfinal round.
