‘American Idol' stabbing: Couple stabbed after disagreeing who should win

Candice Glover and Kree Harrison competed to win the crown in Hollywood as the next American Idol however little did they know they would be argued over during a major fight in York County, Pennsylvania. Karen Elaine Harrelson, 48, and Gregory L. Stambaugh, 57, were arrested after stabbing each other during a drunken argument on which woman was the better contestant. On Thursday it is reported that both individuals are still recovering from their wounds.

Allegedly one of the individuals went into the kitchen and got a knife. They returned to stab the other. Then the knife with exchanged during a struggle and any other individual stabbed person who originally brought the knife. The police are still trying to figure out which individual originally attacked the other.

The Individuals were treated at the local hospital for non-threatening injuries and both are still in jail. According to the officers a couple have been in a relationship and at the time of the incident was very inebriated. When the officer arrived on scene Harrelson had blood on her arms and clothing and was outside appearing to be extremely upset about the show.

The argument was pretty heated. Allegedly the couple seemed to disagree on who was the finale winner. Well most would have been happy just to watch the show, a couple seemed to be obsessed with the reality TV show.

Moral of this story? American Idol fans are serious bunch of folks. That’s why the winner and runner up of the competition need to both put out albums.
