On The Voice Tuesday night there was moment before the competition that was a moment to help the Oklahoma tornado victims. In a very special presentation and performed Over You and asked fans to donated to help those folks who lost everything in the Moore, Oklahoma tornado on Monday.
“Blake and I will be performing an acoustic version of 'Over You' tonite on @NBCTheVoice dedicated to Oklahoma,” tweeted Miranda Lambert from her official Twitter account.
The acoustic performance set the tone perfectly and reminded people to donate. With telephone numbers on the bottom of the screen, fans could quickly pick up the phone and make a donation during the song.
The Voice has a unique opportunity to weigh in on current tragedies in America. Knowing the show must go on, the contestants still hit the stage when horrific news hits during the day, but the show also reflects on the resilance of Americans too. During the Sandy Hook Elementary massacre, The Voice also performed a special song to pay tribute to the victims of that incident too.
Take a look at the video clip of Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert performing. The song was definitely beautiful!
