Jeanne Cooper, the actress best known on the soap opera The Young and the Restless has died at the age of 84. After countless online rumors that gave a premature passing of the talented entertainer, the news was announced on Wednesday by her son, Corbin Bernsen, who shared a single announcement on Twitter and Facebook.

“Mom passed this morning. She was in peace and without fear. U all have been incredible in your love. In her name share it 2 day with others,” tweeted Corbin Bernsen from his official Twitter account on Wednesday.

Jeanne Cooper was best known as Katherine Chancellor a wealthy woman who was on The Young and the Restless for 40 years. Her talent was beloved by fans and even won her an Emmy on the show. While the fans loved the actress, so did her peers. Known to be a strong woman who was compassionate and kind to others, the star was always referenced when it came to the popular CBS soap opera.
