The much-anticipated fight between Floyd 'Money' Mayweather vs Robert 'Ghost' Guerrero is all set tonight 7:00pm ET main event at MGM Grand Las Vegas with live coverage of Showtime PPV.
It's time to set aside trash talking and let the gloves do the talking in the ring. Mayweather came as early favorites although, it's his first fight since his latest againstin 2011. Mayweather served for two months in a misdemeanor domestic battery case which allowed him for a much longer lay-off. But Mayweather is described as a hard working fighter and should bounce back quick.
Mayweather's undefeated 43-0 record speaks for itself (well, with some cherry picking) as he remains the most mentally agile fighter of his generation. His boxing IQ is still there on the fight night, picking shots, quick jabs on the opponent and his shoulder roll defense as he eludes from punishing punches. Although, Guerrero earned this fight, but Mayweather has clear advantage on talent experience and skill.
Meanwhile, Guerrero beat a legitimate former titleholder Andre Berto which a strong statement that 31-year old has the power. Guerrero (31-1-1, 18 KO) scored knockdowns in the first and second rounds, and it looked like Berto's attempt to adopt the shoulder roll defense failed. I don't think Floyd has the same impact compared to Berto's power, Floyd has still the best counter-punching fighter in the game.
Mayweather will earn $32 million guaranteed for this fight. Check this page for Mayweather vs. Guerrero live round-by-round updates, highlights and results. Unofficial grades.
