It had been reported in a newspaper of Chile that one Oscar Munoz had come across a strange looking skeleton in La Noria, a so-called ghost town in the Atacama desert.
Oscar had been searching for items of historical value and his find had the world on edge with UFO-logists thrilled that at last an alien had landed on Earth.
The reasons for the excitement were that the description fitted our generally acceptable concept of what an ET would look like.
It was a 6-inch skeleton, with hard teeth, a bulging head, the body was scaly and it had only nine ribs - it also had an additional bulge on top.
There wee many schools of thought on this unique skeleton - one was that it was the bones of an aborted fetus, another that it was a monkey and then that it was an alien from outer space that had crash landed in the desert.
However, setting all speculations at rest, scientists have now declared that the 6-inch skeleton that had been discovered in 2003 in the deserts of Chile was not the remains of any alien from outer space but its DNA reveals it to be a human.
The detailed DNA testing was done at the Stanford University under the guidance of Disclosure Project founder Dr Steven Greer.
The DNA sample for tests had been taken from the bone marrow extracted from the specimen and was analyzed by the scientists of the university.
The conclusion of the Stanford University's School of Medicine in California was that it was of a male human and was six to eight years of age.
