Oct1: Begenning Thursady, viewers unhappy with the content carried by the news channels can approach the nine meber National Broadcasting Standards (Disputes and Redressal) Authority under the Chairmanship of former Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of India, Justice J.S. Verma.

However, registering a complaint wont come free as a steep fee of Rs.1000/- per complaint and with the authority empowered to impose costs upto Rs.10000/- on complaints which can discourage the complainants.
