The North Texas County’s district attorney is dead; lifeless bodies of Mike McLelland and wife Cynthia were discovered at a home, said police. According to a statement by a deputy from Sheriff’s Kaufman Office, the couple was shot dead by unidentified attacker(s) on Saturday.
The house from where the bodies of McLelland and Cynthia were found, is located in county’s kind of unincorporated part, informed Sheriff’s Kaufman County Office spokesman Lt. Justin Lewis. Lewis stated further that the deaths of North Texas county district attorney and his wife are being investigating by the authorities.
The entire street, where the couple's last known address was located; has been blocked off by the authorities informed Lewis by adding he wasn’t in a position to further speak on the investigation detail(s). “I cannot comment on whether how the couple died,” said Lewis, adding “nor is it confirmed at this stage whether the deaths have any link howsoever, with Jan. 31 slaying of Mark Hasse, an assistant Kaufman County district attorney, Mark Hasse.”
However, some media reports suggest that it was Chris Albaugh, the Kaufman Police Chief; who had confirmed that the couple was shot while at the aforementioned address. Police and Kaufman County Sheriff’s deputies would be seen in the area, investigating the incident in collaboration with FBI agents.
