    just dont vote!

I came across this video, apparently put together by Leonardo DiCaprio, that has a fairly good argument against voting. There are lots of stars in force incuding:

Ellen DeGeneres, Forest Whitaker, Dustin Hoffman, Demi Moore, Sarah Silverman, Jonah Hill, Ashton Kutcher, Courteney Cox, Laura Linney, Natalie Portman, Jamie Foxx, Usher, Kyra Sedgwick, Leonardo DiCaprio, Halle Berry, Jennifer Aniston, Tobey Maguire, and Eva Longoria Parker.

I think this is a great ad that will help get the attention of a lot of the youth vote. A big turn out in the typically under-represented youth vote will be a huge win for Barack Obama. Obama is already ahead in the polls again John McCain, and many of these polls use statistical models that reflect the low turnout among young voters. Getting the 18-25 demographic to come out in November will seal the deal.

I voted and I'm glad we all finally have a president of minority, I think things are a bit harder for him because of this and that his every move is being watched and topic of discussion. I saw a month ago that there was an article written on the fact that he had accidentally, momentarily, forgot one of his daughters names, which I suppose they could have misconstrued, I'm sure like everyone he couldn't say her name quick enough or was thinking of the other child's name instead. Simply put, he's right for the job, i just wish he'd bring the troops home instead of sending more.

I would completely agree with this video, if I could actually beleive that the the person voted in would listen to the ideas of the people who voted for them, if I could believe that politics isn't just another more dangerous form of a popularity contest, or if I could believe that you don't have to be as rich as these actors to get your views across, but I don't. Still it's a good video.

How true, if you don't like the candidate just don't vote for him or her. What use is it to put someone in office and then go writing derogatory things by calling for people to hunt him down and knock him off? Never mind about that because internet is always being monitored and everythingwe write is already known to the F.B.I. If people keep calling for murderof somebody on the web, they will be caught, that's a guarantee. Government monitors all the e~mail and what you write which is then usedfor breaking crime. 2/9/2009.

What is the point when there will be no change anyway. I can relate. However, there is a saying that "The only way for chaos to truly prevail is for one concerned person to do nothing." Commonly expressed as "For evil to prevail is for the good people to do nothing".
  • Posted By Crimsonrose1014 Crimsonrose1014 | 2 months ago
I don't know that I'm totally opposed to chaos, despite what's going on it the government the only way for individuals to thrive is to take pesonal responsibility and do the best they can with what they have, I say we should all just worry about ourselves and famililies, and let everyone else do the same, I don't need anyone to be concerened with my future, that's my job. So who cares who's president, they really don't have any impact on my life.
