Lexington Kentucky. Three University of Kentucky basketball players Willie Cauley-Stein, Alex Poythress and Archie Goodwin told NBA.com Scott Howard-Cooper that as of now they are leaning toward coming back to play college basketball next season for the Wildcats.
Despite an ACL injury Nenlens Noel is probably going to be the top draft player picked in the 2013 National Basketball Association Draft or the top three player to be drafted. Kentucky lost their National Invitational Tournament game versus Robert Morris University on Tuesday.
Poythress is a possible lottery pick; DraftExpress.com has him at 15 in the draft. The positive traits of Poythress is that is he can play both ends of the court. The negative of Polythress is that he lacks motivation and desire.
Goodwin could be drafted in the middle of the first round of the National Basketball Association draft. Goodwin has the ability to shoot baskets from either from a distance or driving to the lane. Goodwin will be probably be a role in the league. Goodwin will have to learn to pick his spots better in the league to be a success.
Cauley-Stein is a mobile atheltic 7 foot center who could go in the middle of the first round of the National Basketball Association but could use another season at college basketball to improve his skills.
The catch is that even though the three basketball players said they would stay in college for another year the temptation of being paid a huge salary in the National Basketball Association as the first round draft picks could change their minds.
