Well if all else fails and Obama escapes any scrutiny for his dismal management of the economy the last 4 1/2 years, you can bet your bottom dollar that someone in the state run media will find a way to blame George Bush.

The stock market has just reached a new high. What the economy does is of less importance to investors than what corporate profits are doing. They are doing fine. However, once the US imposes austerity measures and the sequester cuts create job losses, there will be less demand and the economy will not grow much if at all. I expect the stock market will at least experience a significant correction if not a bear market because there is only so much cost cutting that can be done.
