Britian's Got Talent” audition Scotish songbird Susan Boyd has released two albums and sold millions of albums of albums on both sides of the Atlantic seeing her albums being ceritifed multi platinum in the United States and Great Britain.
Now she is preparing for her screen debut in the British film “The Christmas Candle”. Taking place in the late nineteenth century in an English village, Boyle will be appearing alongside Lesley Manville - “Clash of the Titans”, John Hannah - “Another Year”, and Samantha Barks “Les Miserables”. The film is directed by John Stephenson.
Currently being filmed, Boyle's exact role in the film nor an exact release date have been released, but the film is set to be released some time later this year.
Speaking on her participation in the film Boyle said, “everyone on set is a delight to work with and it's a fantastic experience to be part of the team. I'm really enjoying getting dressed in the period costumes and stepping back in time and although it's very cold filming on location, I'm wearing long johns under my bustle.”
Based on the movella by, the movie is being filmed in the United Kingdom and on the Isle of Man.
The youngest of nine children, Boyle auditioned for the British talent show in 2009 after making a promise to her mother. Performing “I Dreamed a Dream” from “Les Miserable”, Boyle shocked the world – including the usually unflappable– with her angelic voice.
