Mountain of fire and miracles ministries is one of the many pentecostal churches operating in Nigeria, with branches across the globe. It is a fire-spitting church with very, very unique ways of doing things.
MFM, founded by Dr Daniel Olukoya is a summersault and die church. To some fanatical members of this church, everything is about generational curses, die by fire, die by brimstone, witches, wizards and all those stuffs.
It is the secret of business by most pentecostal churches in Nigeria, in Africa, where most persons think that whatever problems or challenges that come their ways are inflicted on them by their enemies- real or imaginary, witches, generational curses etc.
Fears of the unknown, superstition, poverty, illiteracy and inability to accept responsibilities for our actions and inactions are behind these. Reflect on these and agree or disagree with me. You have the right.
The minute we blame outside factors for whatever problems we have individually created, we failed. The Bible says what we sow, we reap. Why should I blame witches and wizards for my problems, which I have attracted through my thought, words, actions and actions?
It is okay for you, a fanatical member of MFM to pray satanic, killer prayers. It is okay to ask God to consume your real or imaginary enemies with fire and brimstone. But, as far as I know, all of us are sinners. And it is not the business of your pastor or imam to tell you whether or not you will go to heaven or hell. Your so-called spiritual or religious leaders are not saints, but sinners like you and I.
Why am I writing all these, you ask? Well, yesterday, a friend, who is a Rosicrucian and a Christian, wondered during a discussion why Daniel Olukoya, owner of MFM is always fond of telling members of his church to shun disco pastors in Nigeria in their quest for spirituality.
Only God knows who will truly enter heaven or hell, if there are physical places like these. You see, Olukoya, in desperate attempts to keep his members may make all sorts of statements in the name of preaching, but the fact remains that he has no right to call another self-acclaimed pastor, a disco pastor.
Some pastors are hiding under the cloak of touch-not-my-anointed to talk as if they have the power to sentence their followers to either heaven or hell. They do not. Let me stop here for now.
