And he put them in ward in the house of the captain of the guard, into the prison, the place where Joseph was bound.

-- Gen. 40:3 (KJV)

The butler and the baker were placed in the same prison where Joseph was being held. They were all awaiting judgment. When someone was placed in prison in ancient Egyptian culture, they would wait until Pharaoh called them before his throne. Then, the Pharaoah would decide whether or not the prisoner would live or die.

Numerical Analysis: The numerical pattern for this verse is 4,3,7. (4) Stay in God's Word or face punishment. (3) Stay in the Spirit or face punishment. (7) Be perfected by God even if you are in prison.
