Mogadishu: High level delegation headed by deputy prime minister of Turkish government, Bakar Bozdag has arrived in the Somali capital Mogadishu this morning receiving warm welcome from the Somali federal government and he observed ongoing projects in Mogadishu by Turkish, reports said.
Deputy Premier and minister of foreign affairs of the Somali federal government, H.E. Fowsiyo Yusuf Adam welcomed Turkish deputy prime minister, Baker Bozdag and his entourage at Mogadishu international airport and led them into downtown.
Bakar Bozdag, deputy premier of Turkish government and his delegation paid short visits at many centers in which Turkish government has already implemented projects while other projects are currently going on ahead in Mogadishu such building main roads in the capital according to Somali National News Agency ‘SONNA’.
Deputy prime minister of the Turkish government, Baker Bozdaga met with president of the Somali federal government, H.E. Hassan Sh. Mohamud at the presidential palace in the capital Mogadishu after the Turkish deputy premier ended his tour in the capital
President Hassan Sh. Mohamud’s meeting with deputy prime minister, Bozdag and minister of development of Turkish government,Cevdet Yilmaz was accompanied by minister of foreign affairs, H.E. Fowsiyo Yusuf Adam, minister of Finace, H.E. Mohamud Hassan Suleyman, State minister of the presidential palace, H.E. Farah Abdukadir of the Somali federal government.
President of the Somali federal government, Hassan Sh. Mohamud and Baker Bozdag, deputy premier of the Turkish government held joint press conference after meeting ended.
President Hassan thanked Turkish government’s role in Somalia as Turkish government supports Somalia in training the Somali national forces, performed development programs including repairing and reconstruction in the capital and as whole the country.
President Hassan said, “It is great day today, we have received high level delegation from Turkish government led by deputy premier of the Turkish government, Baker Bozdag, we have discussed many issues as strengthening ties between two countries”.
Similarly, prime minister of the Somali federal government, H.E. Abdi Farah Shirdon had talks with Turkish delegation who arrived in Mogadishu today on Saturday and discussed key issues such security, training and economic.
This is not the first visit made by deputy premier of Turkish government and Turkish is one of the leading countries who are currently backing Somalia in many aspects according to Somali National News ‘SONNA’.
