The stock market has not reacted negatively to what is happening so the view must be that there will be some sort of last minute deal that will kick the can down the road again. That seems to have been the pattern in the past.
Excellent piece! We seem to think alike - I wrote similar take on our "No guts, No glory" Congress. It is even becoming frustrating for conservatives like David Brooks of the NY Times, who decries the "fiscal idiocy" of the situation. Where is courage to be found these days??? Not in DC, that's for sure!!! Thanks again for your informative report!
Thanks for your thoughts, everyone! The tendency of Congress to kick the can down the road rather than come to real agreement is one of the reasons I wrote the piece to begin with.
