Thanks for the report, Billie. Children above all need this reform to go forward and have a better life once they are adult citizens, who can be contributing members of society.

Every child deserves a future. Our nation will be enriched by this. Good point, Jean! Thanks.

I am not certain Obama realizes how fragile his standing is.

Actually, I'm rather surprised by the high marks he received in this poll.

Thank you for this report, Billie.

I'm not surprised at all about the president's high polling marks. During a recent cyber "fireside chat," the POTUS said he's the President of the United States--not the "Emperor of the United States," and until the laws are changed, he must obey the laws that are currently in place.

Rated up and promo'd.

I suppose the trouible with a poll Billie is who was asked. They are rarely a fair cross section of people.

I hasten to add that I trust the Pew data. They have an outstanding reputation. As you suggest, Eileen, polling methodology is critical to producing accurate information.

Thanks Billie, I did enjoy reading your piece, it is a terrible tragedy for children. It seems wrong that children have to take what is left over after these decisions are made and enforced. Obama has children, how would he react to something so tragic happening to his children. Again thank you Billie.

Hopefully at least some of these injustices will be corrected with the 113th Congress and immigration law reform. Regulating the status of immigrants who contribute here--a vital first step--would alleviate so much suffering. Thanks for reading and commenting, mrnlbld!

Injustices is correct. Thanks for keeping us educated on US immigration policies. So much needs to be addressed for these people. It's sad to see children left by the way side in what is supposed to be the "land of opportunity".

Yes, unless we allow all children in the US to have the resources and assets they need to grow and develop, our nation's future will be stunted. Thanks for your observations!
