Great article TomCleveland.

All your points are well taken. The emphasis is on how the numbers of returning casualties were underestimated. If this includes the diagnosis of PTSD, this can be construed as a good thing because in the past they were not considered in a healthy return to civilian life. Apparently, more physicians and psychologists have been hired but the mechanism for processing is inefficient and clumsy.

Thanks for the great report, Tom. It is shameful how we treat our Veterans on so many levels. still so much we have to live down from the Bush administration, but now it's in better hands...hopefully.

Senator Patty Murray from my state of Washington works hard to improve veteran's benefits and I try to cover her efforts every time I get a press release.
