Vice President Joe Biden's take on gun control

Joe Biden, the vice President of the USA has made public his ideas on gun control - buy a shotgun for self-defense is his advise.

It seems he has made this observation during a question-answer session on Facebook as reported in telegraph.co.uk of dated 20th of February 2013.

In his opinion, no one needs an assault rifle AR-15 to protect oneself - a shotgun is adequate.

Moreover, an assault rifle is harder to aim still harder to actually use and, in fact, the 30 rounds of ammunition go waste because one does not need so much ammo to protect oneself.

He is trying to make people see reason and spoke from personal experience and has explained that he lives in an isolated area in Delaware and owns two double-barrel shotguns.

He has told his wife that in case of any possible attack, she should just go outside and fire a couple of shots in the air from the shotgun - the robbers would not dare to go ahead with their sinister designs.

Joe Biden is trying to push ahead the gun control agenda of President Barack Obama but a ban on sale of assault weapons and high-capacity ammunition clips is facing stiff opposition from the powerful gun lobby.
