Accused of strangling his wife at their Connecticut home was a New York television news anchor and even threatened her after police arrested him.
A call was received by police Sunday morning from WCBS-TV anchor Rob Morrison's mother-in-law about what was happening at the couple's home in Darien. Morrison reportedly had been confrontational toward CBS financial news anchor Ashley Morrison all through the night and enclosed his hands around her neck.
Police heard him threaten to do more harm to his wife while they were processing him. She didn't seek medical attention, police said.
A $100,000 bond was posted by Rob Morrison. The news anchor will appear in court Tuesday. He faces charges including strangulation and disorderly conduct.
The allegations according to the Morrisons are greatly exaggerated. The Morrisons are cooperating with authorities, their attorney said.
