Republicans and corporations don't recognize their role in keeping so many Americans in the poverty quagmire, yet they constantly complain about the so-called lazy food stamp bums.

This article and the prez's position demonstrate a lack of basic economics and/or a desire to pander to the uneducated.

Just answer one question - why only to $9.00/hr? Why not $10 - or hey, how about $25/hr? Why keep people in poverty, since $9.00 won't do much to raise them from poverty, but $25 sure could.

Why not support a REAL raise in the minimum wage to a "living wage"?

Answer that and we can then discuss economics.
