John Fogerty to Release a Duets Album

Classic rocker John Fogerty is giving himself a birthday present of a new album this year. “Wrote a Song for Everyone” is a collection of duets from his past that have been rewritten and reocrded with rock and country stars including Kid Rock, the Foo Fighters, Keith Urban, Miranda Lambert, Bob Seger, Brad Paisley, Alan Jackson, and the Zac Brown Band.

Fogerty plans to tour in support of the album, but dates and cities have yet to be released except for the annual SXSW Festival in Austin this March.

John Cameron Fogerty was bon on May 28, 1945 in Berkley, California. The Grammy Award winning Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Songwriters Hall of Fame member came to fame as the lead singer for the band Creedence Clearwater Revival. When CCR split up in 1972, Fogerty continued on as a solo perfomer.

Over the years Fogerty's music has appeared i over 100 films and television shows including “Gimme Shelter”, “Quincy M.E.”, “American Werewolf in London”, “The Greatest American Hero”, “Knight Rider”, “Bull Durham”, “Full House”, “Road House”, “Designing Women”, “Born on the Fourth of July”, “Philadelphia”, “Forrest Gump”, “Beavis and Butt-Head”, “The Waterboy”, “King of the Hill”, “The Rookie”, “Gilmore Girls”, “The Simpsons”, “7th Heaven”, “The Longest Yard”, “Bad News Bears”, “We Are Marshall”, “Dexter”, “Glee”, and “Battleship”.
