For the past four years hard rock and heavy metal fans have been gathering for the annual Golden Gods Awards. The 2013 edition of the Awards will take place on May 2 at the Club Nokia in Los Angeles.

Among the musicians slated to perform during the ceremonies are eight time Grammy Award winners Metallica who will also be honoured with the Ronnie James Dio Lifetime Achievement Award.

The Golden God Award is going to Rob Zombie and the Riff Lord Award will go to Tony Iommi.

Also scheduled to perform at the awards presentation are:
Five Finger Death Punch
Anthrax
Stone Sour
Dillinger Excape Plan and
Halestorm

Rockers Sebastian Bach and Dee Snider will host the “black carpet” and Chris Jericho returns for the fourth year to host the main event.

The Golden God Awards are the only awards show in America dedicated solely to hard rock and heavy metal music.

All eleven categories in the Golden God Awards are fan voted. Fans may vote until April 15 at GoldenGodsAwards.com.
