In part two of Hollywood week the guys will have to sing for their lives in order to continue on as one of the top 20.

After surviving the group round the guys have to choose a song from the approved list and have 60 seconds with the band to impress the judges. This round marks the first time that the singers can play their own instruments.

Also new for this season, the singers are not placed in rooms but are told their fate after every eight singers. The judges will make their decisions based on all of the performances and not just the current solo.

In a night of drama and emotion some of the singers moving through to the next round are Lazaro, Curtis, Paul, Devin, Grupreet, Adam, Cortez, Jimmy, Johnny, Vincent, Nick, Jada, Anthony, Charley, Burnell, and Marvin.

While back stage celebrating the guys are called back on stage and told that eight more of them will be eliminated but they will not learn which eight until after the girls have had their turn in Hollywood.

Next week, it's Hollywood week for the girls.
