It was a collision between a Mexican tour bus, a car and a pickup truck on the 2-lane highway State Route 38 on the downhill stretch which left at least 8 dead and more than 30 injured as reported in foxnews.com of dated 4th of February 2013.
The incident occurred on the South California mountain highway when the bus carrying a tour group from Tijuana, Mexico, hit the sedan car from the rear which, in turn, collided with a pickup truck that was pulling a trailer.
As per the bus driver, there were some problems related to the brakes.
The bus was probably headed to the Big Bear - a popular tourist spot famous for its ski resorts and other recreational locations.
Preliminary investigations reveal that the bus had a license to carry passengers for interstate travel and has a clear past record - no crashes within the past two years.
