At least five workers were killed by the collapse of scaffolding at the thermal power plant in the Philippine province of Rizal.

According to the police chief of the city sawed Resta Soriano on Sunday to 17 workers were cleaning the chimney thermal power plants, up to eight meters in width and 70 meters in height when collapsed.

"We are now carrying out an operation to remove the remaining workers in the pipe," - he added.

The power plant is stopped, started an investigation.
