The Night The Lights Went Out On Super Bowl XLVII

On Sunday night the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers played in Super Bowl XLVII. It was also the night that the lights went out on the Super Bowl. That's not a joke. The lights really went out. It was one of the crazier things witnessed at a Super Bowl ever and it happened in one of the worst stadiums in the NFL

With the Baltimore Ravens up by 22 points and minutes after Jacoby Jones returned a 108 yard kickoff return for a touchdown the lights went out. The Ravens had all the momentum. You could tell that the 34 minute delay would favor the 49ers. It allowed them to collect their thoughts and calm down.

Football still has to be played. Give the 49ers credit for coming back and making it a game. The 49ers almost pulled out the victory. It took a game winning stand by the Ravens defense with the 49ers having 1st down and goal to go from the Ravens 7 yard line to pull out the victory. It was one of the more memorable defensive stands in NFL history.
