The Shard is the tallest skyscraper in Europe at 310-meters (1016-ft) and Boris Johnson, Mayor of London, declared open The View from The Shard as reported in news.sky.com of dated 2nd of February 2013.

It seems many had paid up to £24.95 for a ticket and as many as 4800 persons became the first batch of visitors to watch the breathtaking scenery from the height.

One can see the Buckingham Palace and the whole city of London for up to nearly 40miles around - it is like watching the surroundings from an aircraft.
