Portland Oregon. The Star Telegram reports Dallas Mavericks center Chris Kaman suffered a concussion injury. He will be out of the Mavericks lineup for an indefinite period of time.
Kaman described how he was injured "I just got undercut in practice and landed on my head. It was a weird play. (Jae) Crowder drove down the middle, Elton (Brand) tried to take a charge and Elton slid to his left and took my leg out. I tried to block it and I was three feet in the air on my side and didn't know where to go. Obviously it happened so fast."
Kaman told the Star Telegram he is suffering from symptoms of a concussion. The National Basketball Association (NBA) rules state that Kaman after he engages in physical activity will have to have a series of tests and get clearance from an NBA neurologist before he can resume playing basketball with the Mavericks.
The Mavericks have averaged 5.2 points better in scoring in a 48 minute game span when Kaman is not on the court. You can call it a player who gets injured is not going to cause your team to miss you compared to a star player.
Of course Maverick fans and Kaman's teammates hope he recovers from his injury soon.
