American Idol: Baton Rouge auditions

In the fourth installment of the season 12 “American Idol” auditions, the team travels to Baton Rouge as head judge Randy Jackson goes home.

First up was Miss Baton Rogue Megan Miller who postponed needed knee surgery to audition for the show. Nicki Minaj called her a undeniable superstar. Megan got four yes votes for her performance.

And the yes votes continued with Charlie, whom Keith said had a David Bowie styled voice and online nominee Maddie.

But the good singers and yes votes couldn't continue as clips were shown of bad auditions.

Then came a Jolley – Paul Jolley – Tennessian who wowed the judges and earned himself four yes votes.

Christopher sang an Adam Lambert song but while the judges called him entertaining and fun loving, Christopher was far from an Adam lambert.

Third year resident Dr. Calvin Peters does more than work as a rehabilitative doctor, he can sing and earned himself a golden ticket to Hollywood.

And the girls kept it up with clips of good female singers who earned tickets to Hollywood. Those were followed by bad audition clips.

Baton Rouge fireman Dustin surprised his fellow firemen with a golden ticket to Hollywood for his singing abilities.

The final audition of the night was from New Orleans native Burnell who comes form a musical family and moved to Baton Rouge after surviving Hurricane Katrina.

Of the thousands of singers who auditioned in Baton Rouge only 35 earned themselves a golden ticket to Hollywood.

Next week the Idol auditions move on to San Antonio and aboard the Queen Mary in Long Beach.
