And all his sons and all his daughters rose up to comfort him; but he refused to be comforted; and he said, For I will go down into the grave unto my son mourning. Thus his father wept for him.

Jacob's children rose up so quickly to comfort him because they knew that Joseph wasn't dead. His death was a hoax. Nevertheless, Jacob fell wholeheartedly for the hoax. Look at the facts so that you do not fall victim to a hoax.

Numerical Analysis: The numerical pattern for this verse is 1, 8, 9, 3, 7, 5. (1) To follow God, comfort others truthfully. (8) To have a new beginning in God, do not reject comfort. (9) To overturn evil, speak correctly. (3) Stay in the Spirit so that you will not be deceived. (7) Be perfected by God so that you will not become a victim of a hoax. (5) Stay in God's presence so that you will not be deceived.
